  • Provide and maintain the UNTAGLE service
  • Enable communication between users
  • Share your approximate location with conversation participants
  • Improve and optimize the service
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Location Privacy

Your location coordinates are automatically truncated to 4 decimal places (approximately 11 meters precision) before being stored. This reduces precision while maintaining utility for location-based features. Location data is only visible to participants in your active conversations.

4. Data Retention

We implement the following retention policies:

  • Messages: Automatically deleted after 24 hours
  • Location Data: Automatically deleted after 24 hours
  • Account Data: Retained until account deletion
  • Audit Logs: Minimal logs retained for legal compliance

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your data is only shared with:

  • Other users in your conversations (as intended by the service)
  • Service providers necessary for platform operation (Supabase, Vercel, Railway)
  • Law enforcement when legally required

6. Your Privacy Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Go offline and stop location tracking at any time
  • Block other users

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS), secure authentication (JWT tokens), database-level access controls (Row Level Security), and rate limiting to protect against abuse.

8. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

UNTAGLE is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. International Users

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. By using UNTAGLE, you consent to such transfers.

11. LGPD / GDPR Compliance

We comply with LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law) and GDPR (European General Data Protection Regulation). You have rights under these laws including the right to data portability and the right to be forgotten.
